How to clean my clarisonic Mia 2 brush head

How should I clean my clarisonic Mia 2 brush head?

I have a clarisonic Mia 2 with the sensitive brush head. I wash my face with a medical grade antibacterial cleanser. I’m not sure what to use to clean my brush head. I’m not even sure if it’s necessary for me to since I use the medical grade antibacterial cleanser..
I’ve heard people say they use baby shampoo.. But I’m not too sure how I feel about that. I have very sensitive acne prone skin.
Also I only use the clarisonic maybe twice a week, do I still need to change out the brush head every three months?

I bought a Clarisonic a week ago and I noticed (a few days ago) that the brush head smelled funny. I washed it with hot soapy water and then alcohol and the smell dissipated. This morning when I went to use my it, I noticed the foul odor had returned. I washed it with hot soapy water and alcohol again. It’s now the afternoon and the smell has returned. What should I clean it with and what can I do to keep the odor away?

The salesperson at Sephora, which carries the Clarisonic brush, as well as the user reviews on the website, recommended the brush for acne and for severe acne, the delicate face brush (as opposed to the sensitive and normal brush heads)

I would not use any type of abrasive measure on severe acne. I have had chronic systic acne since high school and nothing worked for me till I tried using a heat device. The device kills the acne bacteria with a small amount of heat. This has been a godsend for me :-)

Use it. It will help. Use a good cleanser and if your really concerned about spreading bacteria use a acne toner after. The Clarisonic brush really helps remove dirt deep down and give you a better overall complexion.

Is this good use clarisonic mia skin care routine to get flawless skin?

I’m trying to get my skin to be in the best possible condition so I don’t have to wear foundation on my wedding day. I don’t really like wearing foundation even though I do sometimes for events. I do already have really clear skin. I have normal to dry skin. I know there are a lot of expensive products on this, I don’t use them because I think they are better quality but most of them I have been given as gifts as my friends and family know I like skin care.

Morning:
I cleanse every morning with the Clarisonic Mia and Clarins Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream. Then I follow with Kiehl’s Rare Earth pore refining tonic as a toner. I use Nars brightening Serum, Origins Ginzing eye cream and Origins Brighter by Nature Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer SPF 35, then I’m pretty much done in the morning.

Evening:
I cleanse every evening with the Clarisonic Mia and Clarins Extra-Comfort Cleansing Cream but I first remove my mascara and lipstick with the cleansing cream. Then I follow with Kiehl’s Rare Earth pore refining tonic as a toner. I the use NUDE Advanced cellular renewal serum, Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Moisturising Gel Cream for eyes and I moisturise using bareMinerals Purely Nourishing Cream for dry skin.

I use NUBO Diamond peel and reveal maybe once or twice a month, I don’t use any other exfoilators but when I use it I don’t use the Clarisonic Mia that evening. For masks I use Neutrogena 2-in-1 Mask twice a week for maybe 5-10 minutes even though it says 2 minutes. I also use a variety of cloth masks that I use whenever my skin needs a little pick me up or I’m travelling.
I have Rodial Glamoxy Snake Serum that I use when I have big events to go to, so I may use it on my wedding day.

What it always coems down to is if it good for your skin then it’s good, becasue so many people ahve different skin, what works for one doesn’t for another. I use elemis tri-emzyme cleanser (btw it would also help if you swaid which country you are in, so we know the climate and what’s available, also your skin tone, eye colour, I’m in UK for elemis is a good buy), I then use chantecaille water flower cream at night, and day I use omorovicza SPF15 complexion enhancer, I know this is only 15 but I definitely thing physchical based SPF and kinder to the skin longer term and this is the only one which doens’t leave a white cast (as I have olive skin)… if you are pale I would recommend dermaquest zinclear SPF 35 as the best suncream, omorovicza if you have trouble with white cast. The SPF you have is chemical, because I know Origins, one of the reason I stopped you them was that falsely I thought they use chemicals but make out they don’t. I then use tri-emzyme gel mask and resufacing cream twice a week and alpha-h 10% clycolic acid twice a week, thats my exfoliation done. Tips are:

Consider changing from the snake serum, unless you are that age, also I know rodial ahve retinol based products which would not be suitable in combination with mia exfoliation, as retinol would peel the skin anyway.

Consider a course of IPL and chemical peels, professionally done that is. I like them but not worth the money unless you ahve a big day, which you do, so go for it.

I’ve heard SK11 have like a cloth mask thing, with is expensive, but I know women that used it for 10 days up to their wedding and looked amazing, it’s like £10 a cloth or something but worth it if you want to go all out.

I think you need to vary your cleansers, I have about 3 or 4 on teh go at once and cleanse as soon as I get home from work, when I’m done for the day, the earlier you cleanse the better as pollutants on the skin are bad.

Consider switching to a physchical based suncream, one with zinc in, I really beleive these are better for ever day, zinc is much better for the skin than chemicals.

Is the Clarisonic Mia worth the price

Is the Clarisonic Mia worth it?

I’ve been kinda eyeing the clarisonic uk for a few months now, and i read several reviews, but im not sure about the price… I’m 14 and my skin is type is combination , and my nose is clogged with pores and blackheads on the sides and i have the occasional white heads on my forehead.
It is really pricey here in singapore so im doubtful on spending almost 200$ for it.
Hi :) It’s really good that you are taking care of your skin and try to find ways to keep it as beautiful as possible! A lot of people find that the Clarisonic mia brushes are largely beneficial in achieving nice skin. That being said, 14 is very young for something like the clarisonic mia uk, usually older women use it because they either put more strain on their skin, have a hard time exfoliating with normal exfoliators, find their skin renewal decreasing, etc. However, teen skin usually does have a lot of these problems and can get away with a simply chemical or physical exfoliant. Think St. Ive’s Apricot scrub (physical, as it exfoliates with granules) or yogurt (chemical, meaning it contains lactic acid that gently peels the dead skin away). If you find that neither of these work for you, a brush like this:

can really help. Obviously, you don’t have to spend $25 on it, as you can usually find clarsonic mia in drug stores. It’s the same concept as a Clarisonic brush, except you do all the hard (sarcasm) work. Honestly though, teen skin really doesn’t need the Mia’s intensity. If your exfoliating regularly and still have clogged pores or blackheads (stubborn buggers), check for other causes. Not washing your pillow case often enough, using comodegenic products (ones that block pores) and not drinking enough water or munching on enough veggies can heavily contribute to clogged pores.

Decide on which type of exfoliator you want to use, test how often you find you need to exfoliate and see what happens. This should be enough for now.
